AICTE accreditation renewed to 5 branches of UCE

National Board of Accreditation (NBA) of All India Council of Technical
Education (AICTE) has granted accreditation to five different branches of
University College of Engineering (UCE) at Burla.
The team visited the college and its different departments in the month of April
this year. “During their visit they expressed satisfaction by assessing the
academic standard of the courses offered by UCE. After a careful consideration,
AICTE has accredited mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and civil
engineering for a period of five years. The departments of electronics
and telecommunication engineering and Computer science engineering got the
accreditation for a period of three years,” informed the principal of UCE,
Professor KC Singh.
AICTE awards accreditation to any branch for a maximum period of five years and
three major branches of UCE have got it for the maximum period, he added.
“The college and its staff are taking necessary steps to enhance further the
quality of education imparted to the students so that the institute can strive
towards excellency on the occasion of the Golden Jubilee celebration,” Professor
Singh said. Students and local citizens of the region who have been demanding
IIT status for this premier engineering institute of the state, expressed
pleasure over AICTE accreditation to five different branches
